After a few years of awful carrot harvests from Tim the Carrot Boat, we have decided to change the boats name and try potatoes in there. The potatoes do well in the patch, but to make space we tried them in bags. They don’t do well in bags, so let’s give Tim a new lease of life.
After Sylvia helped us to turn the compost, we used some old pool balls to mark out the planting, with earlies and maincrop separated by a plank, of course!
It’s not a good start as the seed potatoes wont chit! Hope this is not a bad omen..
